A Vegetable dying.

I do the dying in my class at high school every year. The colors of vegetable dying are not bright, but these are plain, calm and quiet beautiful. You can get materials of dying whenever you do it. For example, there are peel of onion, tea, coffee, wood and grass. I don't have to use chemicals. At first, you boil these natural materials. You soak cloths which you want to dye in to the liquid. So you soak the cloths in to next liquid. This liquid is catalysis of colors. The catalysis which is boiled rusty nails by sour is natural material too. The reason why I use catalysis is putting colors in to cloths permanent. I like these colors. Doing vegetable dying is only in Japan I think. Western dying is more bright and brilliant than them .

A class of pottery.

I have a class of pottery. The students make many things. They often told me that it was good for them to concentrate at here. I understand it, but I wonder they usually have not time to concentrate to do something . For example, reading book, studying something, sewing... . They may have been busy everyday house work and their job. When I do something what I want to do, I skip house work. So my house get dirty and messy.

Learning language.

I noticed when I learn English. My way of thinking about words is rough, even I speak Japanese. I'm often told about my wrong words of Japanese by my friends. They are sensitive words. So I take a long time to learn English. I should think more strictly about grammar of language. But I wonder I could do such a thing.. .

A shape.

Sometimes, I'm asked by someone why I make these animals? I had thought about it. There are the shape what I like. These animals have the shape. It is difficult to explain what shape in works. It is soft and good shape for me. Recently, I make human. I make a lot of changes to the shape of human body. I want to get the shape what I like. Thinking three-D is difficult and very interesting for me.

Clay beads.

I talked about glass beads before. It is clay beads. You can make beads of clay. It's easy for you to make these.

Japanese pottery.

Japanese pottery is simple and plain I think. It is not colorful than pottery of Europe or other countries, but I like that. I enjoy material of clay. There are various clays in Japan. These are meaningful themselves. At the end of pottery was made by fire. It means that so to speak Japanese pottery is made by nature.

A tool of curving stone.

I use a chisel when I curve a stone. A chisel made of iron. The tip of chisel is very strong metal. What is called " tungalloy", it is a compound metal of tungsten and cobalt. A cost of the chisels are about 2,500 yen. When I was Art University student , at first, I made tip of a chisel. It means that a chisel has not tip of tungalloy. I put tip into fire. And then I keep going to bake the tip. So tip get red color. Next I put tip into water in rapid. It makes getting hard of the tip that put rapid it to get cool. The tip is not harder than tungalloy, but every old people use these tips.
