ネットショップ

昨年より準備していましたネットショップを開始いたしました。といっても慣れないことばかりですので、やっとこぎ着けたといった感じです。カゴバックや陶器のねこがどんなものか皆さんに見ていただけるようになり、もしご希望があれば買って頂くことができるようになりました。お時間がある時にのぞいて頂けましたら嬉しいです。彫刻はもちろんですが並行してこちらの方も作っていきたいと思いますのでよろしくお願い致します。

The exhibition 展覧会

先日の日曜日に無事 ２人展を終了致しました。来て頂いた皆様、ありがとうございました。

今回は初めての画廊ということもあり、どんな展示になるかわからなかったのですが、お陰様で楽しく見ていただけたと思っております。

他にも今回はコップのふちに掛けて遊ぶ陶器のふちねこも展示しました。

and also I showed these small cats what is called "Huchineko".You can use it as chopstick holder.

テーブルに置けば箸置きとしても使えます。

みなさん、自分のお気に入りのねこを見つけようと楽しんでいらっしゃいました。

また、古くからの友人も多数訪ねてくださったり、新しい出会いがあったりと楽しい時を過ごすことが出来ました。

これからまたゆっくりですが新たな気持ちで制作していきたいと思います。

Everyone could enjoy to chose which my favorite one.

2people exhibition. 2人展

8/23〜9/4(29日休廊)に武蔵小杉の小杉画廊で2人展を開催します。

お時間がありましたら見にいらして下さい。

今回は、陶器のふちねこ(器の縁に掛けて遊ぶもの)や箸置きなども展示します。

I will have 2people exhibition at Kosugi gallery in Musashikosugi.If you have time,please drop by there.

Nursery home Rapport Mitsuzawa.特別養護老人ホーム ラポール三ツ沢

There is the nursery home Rapport Mitsuzawa near my house.
I have lent my sculptures to the home for seven years.

The home located at nice atmosphere being surrounded greenery in Yokohama.
You can see it from the lounge.
The chief of home said to me that residentiary,visitor and home staff have enjoyed to see it.
I'm happy to hear that.

I exchanged with another my works,because I need the sculptures to exhibit in this summer.

私の家の近くに、ラポール三ツ沢という特別養護老人ホームがあります。
都会である横浜の中心部にある割には、緑の多い、環境豊かなところです。
７年前から私の作品をお庭に置かせて頂いているのですが、
今回、別の作品と入れ替えてきました。

このホームは、一階にラウンジがあり、コーヒーを出して頂ける設備もあり、
ゆったりとくつろげる空間になっています。
併設の多目的ホールでは、近所の町内会などの催し物が開催されることもあり
人が沢山集まることが出来る場所です。
そのラウンジから見えるところに彫刻を置かせて頂いています。
施設長の方が、スタッフの方々や、入居されてる方のご家族などが無意識の中にも楽しんで見て下さっていると言って下さり
嬉しい限りです。

Making cats(Huchineko) ふちねこを作る。

As I mention before,I made cats what call "Huchineko" it made by clay.
I have a plan to make it one hundred.
I'm going to reach the number soon.I made it about eighty.

I tried to put various color on the cats.
So it looks fun on the table.You can use it as chopstick holder or play to hung it on the cup.

So what?
You might say that.
I feel like that more making useless things,the more fun.
Ot doesn't so come in handy,but I enjoy to eat dishes with it.

以前にも粘土で　ふちねこ　を作って楽しんでいるお話をしましたが
今回はたくさん作って色んな種類のねこを作ってみました。
一応１００個を目標につくっています。ただ今、８０個なのでもうすぐ目指す数に届く予定です。
これをテーブルに置くとなかなか楽しいです。
箸置きとして使ってもよいですし、ただカップなどに引っ掛けておくのも可愛い感じです。

今年の夏に、彫刻の展覧会（二人展）を予定していますので、その機会に販売する予定です。
”とても役に立つ”　という物ではありませんが、特に役に立たないものほど作るのは楽しいような気がします。
そういうことって、ありませんか？

I feel like that each member expresses their own way to make stone.
I was able to see objective my works. So I want to keep going to make sculpture to next step.

I was glad to meet new friends who carve stone.I could communicate to the friends across generational lines.
it was really fun.The exhibition stimulated me to make things.

石彫の女性６人による展覧会も無事に終えることが出来ました。
それぞれ違う表現の作品を同時に展示すると、それが響き合って面白い空間になりました。
私自身も、作品を客観的にみることが出来て、次のステップに進めそうです。
この展覧会に参加することで石を彫っている女性の作家さんたちと知り合うことができて、とても楽しかったです。
石彫を通して話していると世代の違いを忘れてしまいそうで、面白い体験でした。
この経験を刺激に、また頑張って制作したいと思います。

展覧会に来て下さった皆様、ありがとうございました。

The groupe exhibition. 「Stone&Women」展

It's been a while.I will take part in a group exhibition from June 15 monday to 27 Saturday.
The title is "Stone & Women2". All of members are women and sculptor who carving stone.

There is few female who makes stone sculpture in Japan.
That is why the gallery planed the exhibition I guess.

久しぶりに彫刻のグループ展に参加することになりました。
石彫をやっている６人の女性のグループ展です。 日本では海外に比べ彫刻家が少ないようですが、特に石を彫っている女性は少ないということでの「いりや画廊」の企画です。
もしお時間がありましたらお立ち寄り頂けましたら幸いです。

Hand polishing

I polish a stone by hand. I'm not good at using machine.
There are few people not to use machine to carve a stone.
I am a kind of slow tempo person.So if I carve precipitously it by machine,my feeling would be left behind it.
I carve it slowly slowly....,trying find out the good shape of it take a long time in my case.
Although I feel like it's not match in this society,it is not a bad things.

The picture is my indispensable tool,grind stone and chisel looks like a dragonfly.
I use that at the last half of making my sculptures.Thinking and making it is my happy time.

私は石を彫る時に、機械を使いません。そんな人は少ないと思いますが、、。
ある意味自分はのろまなので、機械の早さに置いていかれてしまうんです。
今の時代にそぐわないですが、ゆっくりゆっくり作っています。
ゆっくりって　そんなに悪いことじゃないですよね。
この写真は私にとって制作に欠かせないもの、手磨き用の砥石と刃トンボという道具です。
考えて削って作って...と、幸せなひとときです。

Coming back a cat sculpture.帰って来た猫の彫刻

This is my sculpture which has been setting one Gallery several years.
The gallery was called "hands on gallery"where everyone can touch all of these art works.
However,it will quit and change the contents. So I went to take back it.

It has been several years to see it.The surface got smooth than before because many people had touched it.

I have made some cat sculptures. A cat has really nice shape of their body.
There are many masterpieces of cat sculpture in the world.
I think the number of it are more than a dog one. The reason why a cat is more attractive to make than a dog for creator.
It depends on a person who likes a dog or a cat might be different.
Which do you like and make ?

この猫の彫刻は数年間「ハンズオンギャラリー」という　誰でも作品を触ることができるギャラリーに置いて頂いていたもので、
今回、そのギャラリーが無くなることになり、うちに帰ってきました。
久しぶりに見た作品ですが、皆さんに触ってもらったおかげで、表面がスベスベです。

私はいくつか猫を作っていますが、猫はほんとに良い形をしていて、作りたくなります。
私としては犬より形が魅力的に思えますが、人によりますよね。犬好き、猫好き　色々です。

Hearing and listening. 話し聞いてる？

Sometimes I miss listening someone's talking. Although I suppose to hear it.
If I would take some notice,I miss hearing.

Which is to say,for example,when I talk to friends,if I notice her nice cloths,I would focus it.
It comes to my mind "Oh,her shirts is really nice."
So I miss listening to talk what she said.
At that time I may look spaced out.....

When I was junior high school student,I often miss hearing teacher's talking. That's too bad me...

If I concentrate to make something too much,I could not pay attention anything but making things.

Sorry friends, if I would not answer you when you talk to me,I may take something notice.

This picture is a sleeping seal who has round body. It is which I made several years ago.
You may not realize what it is.

私は人の話を聞き逃すことがあります。聞いているつもりなのですが、何か他のことに気をとられると聞こえていないようなのです。
つまり、友達と話をしていてその人が素敵な服を着ていたとします。それに気を取られて"素敵なシャツだなあ"などと思っているとその間の話の内容が抜け落ちてしまう
というわけです。そういうときはただぼーっとしているように見えるかもしれません。中学や高校のときも何かに気を取られて先生の話を聞き逃すことはしょっちゅうでした。 これじゃ勉強できないわけです....

作品制作中などはとくに何も他のことに注意を払えなくなります。
皆様、もし私に話しかけても反応が無かったら、なにかに気を取られていると思ってお許し下さいませ。

この作品は数年前に作った、おなかの丸いアザラシが寝ているところです。写真だとなんだかよくわかりませんね。

Sculptures came back home.

I had a group show in the corridor of one shopping center 16 years ago.
After the exhibition, the company of shopping center allowed me to set my sculptures there. I was glad to put it there, because many people can see it.
However there is no responsibility of the company in the contract. It means that if someone broken it, the company doesn't matter to me.
They ask to set neither it nor buying. It has been setting for 16 years.
I sometimes went to see it. So it was a move over the corner of that room year by year.
I decided to take it away to my house. The sculptures had some flaw and buckled poles.
It seems that someone made it fall on the floor.
I felt sad a little. I guess sculptures relief to come back to my house.

The place where I'd like to set my sculpture is.

I want to set my sculptures at somewhere.
That is not a place where hard to approach, gallery and museum.
It's a park and on the street where anybody can touch it.
At times, it serve as a landmark for waiting time. At other time, people have break time in front of it.
A stone is weathertight.
It can stand any street corner, any time.
This is my ideal way of being my sculptures, like a Jizou(地蔵 or it's called お地蔵さん）.
It is a small statue made of stone at close to where people live.
People get familiar with it.

The power of Art.

There are various sorts of arts in this society.
I roughly classify them as: music, stories, pictures(2 dimensional) and sculpture(3 dimensional).
Music can give the biggest impact of all. It has mass appeal.
Next, I think is stories, novels.
Movies have music and stories combined. That's why it has massive appeal.
What about drawing and sculpture? In the modern world, the power of these is less than before.
However, I like stone sculpture, although it's a little bit old fashioned, I love the feeling of stone which doesn't change.
When I see a mossy stone sculpture, sometimes these are at temples or shrines, I can feel the history and value of timelessness.

Making sculpture

Making things balances my mind. When I feel that I have an unstable mind, I can calm down my heart by making things.
I bang down a hammer on a chisel.
I can hear the clang of it.
So I'm calmed down bit by bit, and the stone is going to change shape.
I receive no benefit, no offering from anyone.
I just make it because I want to make it.
I think artists are a kind of selfish living creature.

口は災いのもと

The least said, The soonest mended.Japanese people tend to do so.

This is a Sea otter what I made. They have a beautiful shape.

The period of strain

I was unattended here. I spend a hard time to teach at high school.I'm tired. I'm a sculptor, but I didn't have time making things than I expected last year. It is difficult to make living as a sculptor in Japan. However,I decided to decrease my art class at high school next year.

Children

Recent children are really afraid to fail something. All I ever encouraged them that you can do it. I believe these experiences what they fail something makes their life abundant. I want to say to parents," Don't say you don't have to fail." Children are numb, can't have dream. They don't know what they have enormous great future.

Touching sculpture

I putted this at a shopping center long time ago. Many people seem to have touched it, it changed the color. I like that.

This is one of my works, " Sleeping stone". The pillow is real one. I tried to use extreme different materials soft and hard.
